I bought the car in April of this year and was told everything was a o.k. that was a down rite lie!! since then I've had most of what's under the hood replaced minus the engine! now i hear a clunking/grinding noise every time I put it in reverse...Its a manual trans. but I don't know if that would effect much. PLEASE HELP!!!

 

On Car Talk, I think they just had someone with a similar situation. As I recall, the guys said it might be something to do with the rear brakes. But don't take my word for it. It's just a vague recollection of that particular show. Maybe something to ask your mechanic about.
