So right now I'm thinking about buying this car with its transmission problems from a friend. From what i drove i feel like the car will only drive in first gear. It will not reverse AT ALL it won't even roll back on a hill. In Neutral the car goes in 1st can will actually move forward in 1st also from D-3-2-1 it stays in 1st. anyone help?! also Check Engine Light is on and can't get my hands on a OBDII to use! The car doesn't have tiptronic but is it safe to say that i can use any automatic transmission for this year to swap it out with?
