02' 1.8T - temp light flashing intermittantly

02' 1.8T - temp light flashing intermittantly

i have topped off the coolant tank and after a day or so, the temp light reappears.
the temperature is steady and normal. any idea what may be causing this?

Is it leaking coolant? If not it could be something simple like the thermostat or coolant hoses.

Its a secondary code........Most likely a coolant temp sens.
