I recently bought a 2001 Gti 1.8T and I'm looking for some advice on different aftermarket parts. I would like to get just some basic bolt-ons- exhaust (thats not too loud), intake, uppipe, downpipe, header, etc. I am not too familiar with VW, but looking to learn more so any help would be great. I am more familiar withSubaru STI's and Honda's but trying to get into VW. Thanks so much!

 

any 2.5 inch exhaust or bigger will be fine. i'm a welder so i made my exhaust myself, all 3 inch from cat back. a diverter valve is good to have also, as the stock ones likes to rip the diaphram. i suggest forge, i got the splitter so it can be heard but still recirculates some of the pressure to keep that CEL off. neuspeed p-flow for the intake. and the rest of your parts can come from APR. hope this helps.
