Default Question

Thanks
I just bought an 07 VW GTI, I need to change the oil for break in. I am using factory reccomended oil castrol 5W 40 Synth. My question is where in the heck is the oil filter. My last VW was an 1986 Golf GTI 1.8. This is a 2.0L Turbo. I see the air filter, I cannot for the life of me see how the cover comes off the top of the motor. Anywho if someone knows please shoot me the answer. I will get a manual eventually but for now wheres the darn oil filter, I do know its just a drop in element, and not a screw on, but other than that where????

Well, I guess the first problem I see as metioned is I cannot seem to figure how to get the plastic cover off the top of the motor. If this was done, I could probably see it very clearly, however on the new models 07, Dunno about the rest, there is a plastic cover over everything. Can't get this off see pic, if I could I bet the oil filter is right there.
