EOBD II Error Code: P0865
Fault Location:
Transmission Control Module (TCM) (J217), Communication - Low Input/Short Circuit to Earth
Possible Cause:
Fuse(s).
Wiring/Connector(s) short to earth.
Transmission Control Module (TCM) (J217).
Possible Solutions:
Check/Replace Fuse(s).
Check/Replace all faulty Wiring/Connector(s).
Read Measuring Value Blocks (MVB).
EOBD II Error Code: P0600
Fault Location:
Serial Communication Link - Malfunction/Message Missing
Possible Cause:
Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL)(K83) Non Emission Fault - No warning light.
Wiring/Connector(s).
Connected system.
Trouble code(s) stored in other system.
Low battery voltage.
Engine Control Module (ECM).
Possible Solution:
Check Can-Bus matching resistor.
Check and charge battery.
Description:
The Engine Control Module (ECM) communicates with all Data Bus-capable control modules via a CAN Data Bus.
These Data Bus-capable control modules are connected via two Data Bus wires which are twisted together (CAN_High and CAN_Low), and exchange information (messages). Missing information on the Data Bus is recognized as a malfunction and stored.
Trouble-free operation of the CAN-Bus requires that it have a terminal resistance. This central terminal resistor is located in the Engine Control Module (ECM).
