Thanks for looking in - I recently purchased a 01 Beetle TDI and had the hot start problem right away. It finally cranked and I've researched problem etc. I purchased a manual and when looking for the Engine Coolant Sensor on the vehicle found there was none? I guess someone had this problem and thought to remove it? Should I replace and where would the sensor wire go? Thanks for any advice.
