Default GTI Noises when turning

Just tried changing the front brakes but had the wrong pads. I put the tire back together and now when I drive it makes loud clunking noises when I turn(especially right). Sounds real bad like it's going to fall apart. It was fine before i even worked on it.

Thats just a coincidence that this noise started after doing your brakes. If it knocks when your turning right the your right hand side CV joint has gone and needs replacing.

Thats what i thought it was but you'll never believe what it really was... my tire wasn't cranked on all the way. Its those crazy lug nuts. I cant believe the nut and bolt are one piece. that makes it very difficult to put the tire back on especially with the rotor flopping around. Trying to hold the rotor in the right place and hold up a tire at the same time is crazy. Why not have bolts coming out of the wheel hub like a normal car. Put the tire on the bolts and lugnut away. CRAZY

Well unless you have some crazy wheel bolts the standard ones should work just fine?

No. The weird thing was once I took the tire off I could move and wiggle the rotor which in turn spins and come off the hub so then my bolt holes wouldn't line up. I had to get the rotor in just the right spot, hold up the tire with one hand and pray that i could get the lugnut bolt in the hole without the rotor moving. Took forever. Never seen a wheel hub without the bolt attached to it before.

Well rotors (brake discs) are normally held on the hub with screws if someone has sheard the screws off the they won't locate correctly.
