Default cruise control problem

I have a 06 jetta tdi and hoping for some help with my cruise control. When using my cruise the car will accelerate and let off back and forth until finally the cruise will shut off all together. I have had the car hooked up to computer and no codes pulled up and ck engine light isn't on. Other than that the car dives good. Didn't know if someone has had this problem before. Would appreciate any in-site on what might be causing this problem. Thanks

Keith,
I took it to a friend of mine who owns a transmission shop. At first I thought it might be in the transmission. He has a snap on computer he joked it up to and checked it to see if any codes popped up. He said there wasn't any.

Well the common problem with cruise control is the brake light switch and clutch pedal switch. You really need to find someone with VAG-COM\VCDS to check the system out.

I would also suggest you join VW TDI forum, Audi, Porsche, and Chevy Cruze diesel forum
