Default alarm system help!!!

Does anybody know how i can get the ENTIRE alarm system out of my car, 1995 GTi Vr6, without it harming anything? Is this possible? Im just sick of the thing malfuctioning on me ALL the time. I cant disable it with the key because it no longer works.
I dont want to take it to the dealer here because the shop screws people over on the prices.
Any info would help.
Thnx...

Default vag com?

try having someone turn it of with vag com. other than that it is probably a faulty door switch. If you notice any interior lights going on when the alarm goes off you know it is a faulty door sensor and can just replace that.

Default alarm system help

Im considering installing my own alarm system. I plan to go with the Viper 790XV. In my 01 GT I had an Avital 3300 system and perforemed some modification to it including DEIs window automation kit. Ive looked over the install manual for the system, and nothing seems too complex. Im wondering if anyone knows of anything thing I should look out for, or if anyone has any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help.

The main problem with VW alarm systems is the door jam wires on the drivers door(opened/closed the most). These are very thin wires that break easily over time as the wire insulation gets brittle. I don't know how to shut off the whole system, but fixing the door wires should fix your problem.
