Having some very frustrating problems with my GTI. First, to start it you have to leave the key in the ignition for 5 secs before you crank it over or else it hesitates and wont turn over. On several occasions when it does start it idles like a 82 Buick, sputtering and spitting black crud from the exhaust. Usually this is followed up with the engine light illuminating, yet the grage never finds any codes when they vag com. Lately my dash has been like a xmas tree with EPC, engine light and ESP illuminating when I start it up in the AM but they usually go off the next time I start it later in the same day.
So it back in at South Gate VW but these guys appear to have excusses for everything so I am wanting to do my own home work so I don't get the "your a stupid girl" typical reaction from them.
ANY SUGGESTIONS?
