Default 2003 GTI 1.8T W/ 5 spd Tiptronic Jf506e 09A

My 2003 GTI was throwing codes for bad solenoids causing hard shifting. So after extensive research of parts and repair processes I decided to tackle the job myself. I replaced all the solenoids with a Jatco OEM set as well as the solenoid wire harness and a couple seals behind the valve body. I refilled the transmission with Ravenol JF506E specific fluid. After I started the car I tried selecting different gears but nothing happened. I rechecked all the connections and scanned again finding no codes. Next I took it to a mechanic who reprogrammed both the ECM & TCM but still no gears. Does anyone have any suggestions to solve this issue without transmission replacement? Thanks

Error codes scanned with what a generic scanner?

Post the error codes?

You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing and check systems out.
