If i put a turbo on my 2001 vr6, do i need the computer to be re-flashed?

If i decide to take the turbo off later do i need to re-flash it again back to factory settings?

I'm want to put a turbo on my car but i don't know about the whole ecu part. Anyone that knows about turbos would be kind enough to explain this to me it will be highly appreciated.
