I have a very peculiar issue with my car - if it is hot (i.e. after driving for about 45 mins), and I turn it off, it will restart for about 2 mins afterwards, but then won't start until it cools down (about 45 mins after that)

I turn the key - and NOTHING happens. My car is '93 GOLF CL.

I've asked mechanics, and the first one had no idea. The second thought it was a connection in the starter motor, which he replaced, but didn't fix the issue.

Anyone have any ideas on this?
