I have a 92 golf, and it has an interesting problem. Its foreign spec, as I'm stationed in Italy. It will start up and idle, although the idle is a little rough. If i rev the engine a little bit, it will go up, then go down when I let off the gas. If I give it a lot of gas, it will rev up, but when I let off the gas, you hear an audible click from the engine (somewhere, I can't tell where) and the engine shuts off. Its not fuel injected, and it doesn't seem to be a fuel flow problem. I don't know how many RPMs it can get before the problem starts, because I have a clock instead of a gauge. Any ideas?
