Hi everyone, i have a Mk5 Golf GT TDI 170 BMN. i've owned it for nearly 2 years now and had no issues whatsoever, it is high mileage sitting on 170k miles.

was driving normally a few days ago when it just randomly cut out and stopped, i tried to restart it and it cranks and cranks strong as anything but doesn't even attempt to start at all. There is also no fault codes which makes it even more hard to diagnose the fault. I checked fuel is getting through the fuel filter and it is and i can also hear the pump work when i turn the ignition to on position.

Anyone have any ideas? thanks
