Hello,
looking to get into a fuel efficient vehicle and found a 97 Golf in local paper. Here's the rundown:

2.0
5spd
moonroof
premium sound am/fm, cassette
door alarms -- locks seem to be manual, but driver's has a little light and audible that warn when locked with key
tires good
1 owner
drove well and sounded good
Has some bubbled rusting on doors at window trim on passenger side

Owner is asking $4250 which is right between KBB retail and "good" private party.

Is this a good deal? Anything unique about the Golf that I should look for or might cause problems later on? What might I expect for mpg city/highway/mixed?
