occasionly when i turn my ignition key to start the engine all my dash lights all come on fine as usual but the car engine will not start. been told this could be a starter motor prob but not sure.
is there a way to repair the prob without buying a new starter as i plan to trade the car in within 3 weeks and dont wish to start spending cash on it??

 

It sounds like the ignition switch quit.
