Hi i have a p reg golf vr6 and the fuel pump makes a loud buzzing noise,i first thought it was low on petrol but this was not the case.Could it be the actual pump or a dodgy realay?

Also when the car is turned off if u listen under the bonnet where the big round plug is with all the wires going into it(sorry dont know wat this is called)that makes a noise for about 5 minites after the car is switched off??is his normal.

So what im asking is could it be the pump or pump relay or even a blocked fuel filter??

Also it would be handy if someone could tell me where the pump is and filter and the realy thanks,sorry im not good at these kinda things
