My air bag light has been on for a few days. Is this an immediate threat to me or my car?

 

i wouldnt thinks so. i drove my jetta with it for months. i would just beep at me everytime i would turn the car on. iv heard it could go off but it never happend. all i needed was to reprogram my computer. it came on when i was checking my fuses & i guess pulled the one supplying constant power to the bags.
