Hi,

Im looking to buy a golf and was interested in the 1.6 petrol or 1.9 diesel. Which one would be the best to go for? I don't do many miles and can't go for GT/GTi etc due to being 20 with an accident under my belt.

Im a fuel oil burning kinda guy...

 

Diesel - better fuel economy. The 1.6 engine isnt that great.

 

better to go the deisel. but being 20 you might not be able to drive it with a turbo charger on it
