fan wont get on
 

hi there....i have a 1994 golf A3...the radiator fan wont start, thus the car begins to overheat...can someone help me with this issue?? thanx

check the fuses, the connections, and if all that checks out, get a multimeter (volt meter) and test the wires going to fan and see if its getting power

Then, could be the motor, or fan itself. The above troubleshooting steps will help detemine if you are getting power to the fan. If you are, then you know it IS the fan or motor itself. Order one, or grab one used, they should be much, especially used, or from a "U Pull It" Junkyard...

thank u for ur help guys...it seems it was a blown fuse! as simple as that! i just replaced it, and voila! the fan worked normally! thanks again guys!
