Driving Tuition in a MK6
Hi Guys & Gals,
My first post on here so please be gentle!
On Monday this week I completed my training and qualified as an Approved Driving Instructor. Throughout my training I have always fancied a MK6 Golf as my training car, I drove for the first time on Wednesday a 2 litre TDi Match, jeeeeez what a motor, very impressed with the performance and economy. A few people on another forum have said that it's ridiculous to use such a moto for learner drivers. My view is that a) it will attract youngsters to train with me and b) once I've got them I can then educate them that the acceleartor is NOT an on / off switch as with most weasel powered 'L' cars.
So, what do you good people think, is it a good/bad choice ? will it stand the rigours of driving tuition ? Anything I need to look out for ?
I'm actually going to look at a Feb 2010 2 litre 140 SE tomorrow with £5k off he new price in Candy White.
Thanks in advance
