Door locking issue

Door locking issue
I have recently purchased a mk5 golf tdi.
It has started to lock the doors soon after i start to drive off.
Having only had the car for a while i am not sure weather this is what they do or whether its a fault.I dont like the idea of the car automatically locking the doors as i would like the choice!
If i press the button on the drivers door to unlock the doors it seems to stay unlocked for a while but then relocks.
I have noticed that on occasions it does seem to lock and relock on its own!
Surely a fault?

Your best bet would be to look online for detailed repair manuals.

You appear to have a few VW's as I answered a question of yours the other day on a Jetta. You made another one saying you bought a GTI now you have a MK5 TDI.
Anyway the doors locking as the speed goes about 12mph is normal its part of the security system. If you don't like it as I don't then you can turn it off in the MFD settings under Automatic locking I think, I turned mine of because its an annoying feature.
With all these VW's you need to invest in VAG-COM\VCDS if you don't have it already. I mean a genuine lead not a Chinese clone.
