Climate Control – Fans won't stop
Hi, I'm new in here, so hello all :-)
I have a problem with my climate control on my 01 Golf V5, it's been in the garage to many times to mention with the cc, it started off as a simple recharge, then new valve block, new filter, new compressor and now new control unit for the cc (black box of tricks). Now apparently all the fans come on when the car is switched on with no way of turning them off. The garage has no idea what the problem is and have taken it to the dealers who seem to be scratching their heads.
Can anyone suggest what this might be, I've spent nearly a grand having this looked at and fixed, but it's one problem after another.
Why would all the cooling fans be coming on full whack, could it be a sensor or something?
Please can someone help me on this, it's doing my head in!

that's a good one, my best advice is get the shop who did the work to fix it, let them scratch their heads till it bleeds. You spent the money, they should do it properly. Other than that I have no cluce! It could be so many things. Start from scratch?

Right I have a update if this helps anyone. The fans stay on constantly as soon as the key is turned, even if the engine isn't running or the climate control is off. Does this help anyone here any further to diagnose this problem?
I do hope so as I have no faith in the garage anymore.
