As i stated in my new member thread, i am looking at buying
Golf Mk.4 1.4S from my brother in law. It does has a fair number of problems.
Is there anything i should look for when i buy the car do they have any common faults.

As far as i know
It has a very weak throttle im guessing thats just a case of new throttle cable.
Also is burning oil I think may be need to valve stem seals
Something is draining the battery im guessing something is constantly live or a bad earth
