Hi!

I have a mk4 VW golf (without central locking) and recently both of the front door locks have broken, I am able to lock them from the inside but when I try to unlock them from the outside with the key it won't work. It's getting quite frustrating as I have to open my car through the boot! I've already tried removing the locks and cleaning them but they still don't work, does anyone have any suggestions of how I could fix this?

Welcome to the forum.

You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing.
