I'm looking to purchase a 94' Golf, however it will not manually shift into reverse. Would that need a whole new rebuilt tranny? Or is there something else that could be done in the meantime until I could afford a new transmission? There are a few minor problems with the car, but I feel it is worth the $750 asking price. Let me know if I am wrong and if I should just stay away. Thanks in advance!!
