Default 2007 Rabbit - plastic cover over lug nuts

I can't figure out what the name if this thing is and before I try to pull it off and potential break something I want to know how the proper way to get it off. Ok its just the plastic cover that goes over the lug nuts on alloy wheels of the 2007 Rabbit. It has half a dozen or so holes and I tried sticking a thin hex wrench in a hole and give it a gentle pull but it wasnt coming off. Obviously I need to get at the lug nuts. What is this cover called and how do I get it off?

Default RE: 2007 Rabbit - plastic cover over lug nuts

well this was answered on another vw forum. There is a small hook used to take off this cover, that looks like a fire exitinguisher pin, in the trunk next to the car jack.
