Default 2001 Transmission issues

Ok I just bought a 2001 Golf 2.0 that has 95k miles on it. The transmission was overheating and not shifting until 4000+rpms. At the same time, my air conditioning went out(only blows warm) so I took it in and they replaced the trans(new valve body etc) went and picked up the car the a/c is still not blowing cold BUT about 25miles down the road as soon as the trans heated up it stopped shifting again. Has anyone had this issue? i am thinking it may be a cooling issue, plugged radiatior or hose etc and that it is heating the trans and the selenoids are sticking. just wondering if anyone else is having this problem or has heard about this problem.

Well if you've had it repaired at a garage take it back until its fixed.

Aircon needs servicing every 5 years depend on how much you use it. If you've never had it serviced and you have no record when the last owner did you need to book it in at an aircon service centre VW charge about £70 but there are other places Name: google.gif
