the door only locks and unlocks with the key in it, as well as the windows only work if i put them up and down with the key in the door.... if anyone knows how to fix this please help!! thank you.

I don't know a solution to this, but I do know that my car has a problem w/ the locks, as well. VW's suck with electronics sometimes. For instance, my alarm sometimes doesn't deactivate using the door lock. The door will unlock and when i start the car, the alarm goes nuts. The only way for me to deactivate it and get the blinking red light off is to unlock the truck. IDK, man.

hey Jrailer to open and close the windows the key would be in the door, and i also had the alarm problem.... but i just unplugged the alarm horn and now i have no problems with it.

 

pull the boot back between the door and the frame if you have broken wires that is where they will be
