Default 2000 Golf 2.0 Won't start

I want to thank anyone who helps in advance. I purchased a 2000 Golf 2.0 5spd. It has 160k miles. I purchased it from a gentleman who parked it a year ago(it ran) Now I have it and worked on a few basic checks...here are some facts...

1. Battery was dead, they started to charge the car for the first time after a year, it cranks but wont turn over.
2. Got the car home, checked the fuel pump by sound, then pulled the two rubber fuel lines that go into the rail and its pumping fuel out at a very moderate level so I think the pump and relay are good.
3. Also put in gasdry and injector cleaner, cranks slow, still wont turn over
4. Pulled the plugs, they were very worn, replaced
5. Car cranks faster and seemed to want to start but still nothing.
6. Pulled the plug with the while from the coil still attached. NO spark

I am thinking the Coil Pack is bad but wanted to make sure there wasn't something I was missing. I hope I gave the most accurate account of what I did. Thanks again guys.

Speed Racer... My arch nemesis! Just kidding. Anyway I would definitely get a new battery before anything else. If that doesn't fix it then it is more than likely the coil if your getting no spark.
