hi i have 1998 golf k2 and i bought it and i got it and the radiowas locked on "safe" mode and i cant get it off i need to find out how to get it off. i have took it to vw and they said that there is no code on it if there is any way i can get it i would greatly apperate if i could find the coode thank u... chels

 

hmmmm.....have you checked your owners manual that came with your car? Thats usually where they put them on a little 4x2 card. But thats weird they couldnt help you out. Call Volkswagen support and see, i just had to tell them my VIN number. Maybe the radio isnt the orignal one that came with the car and it was stolen from another volkswagen golf and they hurried and sold it?.......im not sure

 

radio code is in the trunk next to the paint code if its the stock radio it will unlock it
