Default 1997 VW GTI

What is the best thing I could do to improve driving performance that will not cost very much?

I want to zip tie the air filter also but there are to many hoses hooked up to the top and bottom of the box. How would I go about doing that?

If the issue is cost then you should try some of this mods...

First, Intake. Buy a cold air intake that lets the airflow to be cooler and faster. Then you might check the ignition system. Check the distributor cap and it's respective contacts. I recommend you to change the ignition coil with a bigger one. As matter of effect, you may also check the Ignition Wires or Spark Plug Wires and replace them. Finally it is also necessary to revise the Spark Plugs. If the electrode is too dirty, you should REPLACE THEM ALL. I highly recommend BOSCH SUPER 4 SPARK PLUGS

I think that will make it. Now you have a full afternoon to have fun.

Let me know if you have any doubts.

Good Luck
