I have a 2001 Cabrio and looking to upgrade the stock 14" Rims with something with a little bit more punch. Has anyone upgraded the stock rims with 15" or 16" anything else to adjust the wheel clearance, etc?

 

I got a set of 15's with falken tires at discount tire for $560 delivered to my house. They look great

 

Can you tell me what Rims you got and the tire size? any picture?

The tires are 205/50-15 and they are MP3 wheels. have yet to take any pics but I will

 

I upgraded the Wheels on my 01 Cabrio with German rims, 16" and tires 205/40/16, and there is still plenty of room to fit bigger tire. I didn't like so much the extra wheel clearance on the front side, the back is acceptable.

 

How about lowering the front....you may get the look you like

Anyone replaced the springs to lower the car?

 

I need suggestion for lowering springs and which ones?

 

My car is lowered 2.5 in the front and 1.5 in the back. That may be too much with your new rims. Those rims look great by the way. You could also go with coil over's but the ride may be a little stiff but it would also lower the car.
