Hi all
I have a vexing problem with the seat that is driving me crazy!! Its on the passenger side of a 1996 N Golf III cabrio.
Basically the seat back falls backward with the slightest bit of pressure and I can't figure out which part has gone.
I have had the hinge mech apart and replaced the rotating **** (the it used to adjust the backrest), but the seat back doesn't lock into position.
Its a scary state of affairs for passengers when they shoot backward on acceleration. Probably highly dangerous too!
Anyone had any experience of this or got any ideas?
