Default Rear Drum Brakes

I had said I would share lessons learned as I rebuilt my 98' Cabrio. I have gone through the car top to bottom. Only thing left is a front end alignment and to flush the cooling system when I can get all the proper hoses, still fighting that challenge.

When I did the breaks I replaced everything including rotors and drums. I haven't done drum breaks in a number of years and never a drum break with ABS. So my first lesson learned to share is new drums do not come with the ABS ring (reluctor ring). I already recycled the old drums, so now I am out a few bucks and waiting on delivery.

Hope this helps someone in the future and my stupidity saves someone some aggravation.

Brakes as the title says.

It depends how mechanically minded you are for working on brakes, do you now what you should and shouldn't do?
