I recently purchased a 93 Cabriolet and I have a few questions:
I was told the car needs a new computer. The PO told me that her mechanic has riged up the car to run even though the computer is bad. He disconected some sensor(s) so it runs rich all the time? Very vague, but any ideas? How do tell if the computer is bad?
Also, there are some extra wires coming out of the computer and going to a couple sensors on the engine. The PO said that the PO befre her added these in there for some reason. Looks to me like some sort of jumper config. I do not have the car yet some not pics but I figured some VW expert might know what it is.
Any help would be great. Ill have the car early this week and I'll post some pics.
