Default Help if you will, 89 and 92 cabriolets

I recently purchased both a 1992 and a 1989 cabriolet. My question for some of you who are experts on these. How interchangeable are the two? I know there is a difference in the engines but are they swapable? I like the doors on the 89 better because they have the swing out windows on the front. The 92 has power windows, can I use the exterior part of the 89s door with the inner workings of the 92 including the power windows as well as the interior from the 92? Im going to be stripping the 89 for parts for the 92. Do you guys know if there is anything that is not interchangeable between the two cars? both have automatic transmissions on them. I want to stay with the 92 combination and possibly sell the engine out of the 89 and the auto transmission as well. Any info you guys can give would help tremendously.

I believe that the Cabriolet continued to be made as a M1 until 1994
