Default Fender Flare Black Decals

Does anyone know what the black decal that goes on the front of the rear fender flare is called? I am going to be restoring a 1992 Cabriolet and would like to replace the old ones that are worn. First place to start is to find a name for them, secondly does anyone know where a good place to find them is?

Hello
I wasn't sure what you were talking about so I looked at some '92 Cabriolet pics. The only thing I saw was a rock guard film.
But I have a thought. There is a product called PLASTI DIP and it comes in spray cans. You can get it in several colors including black. Just tape off the area to be painted and spray. Remove the tape as soon as you are done spraying, before the dip sets or it will tear up your edge. This is different from paint so do note this.
The interesting side of using DIP, if you don't want it on the car anymore, you can take it off. It is used a lot for show cars where they make temporary stripes for the show and remove them afterwards. Very easy and good for experimenting with different looks/strips/etc.
I see the original post is rather old but this info might help someone else. good luck
