Have a 2000 Cabrio. The door lock on the drivers side is broken - tumbler is out. The door will not open. Using the remote the door lock will move up and down but not open the door. You pull on the door handle on inside or out and it acts like it is still locked. How do you open the door?

Were you able to resolve this problem?... I have this same problem every so often and it seems to be when it is cold outside. The door locks are up and when you try and open it feels like it does when the doors are locked..
