Over the last few weeks my daughters 2002 Cabrio has developed an issue starting. When you turn the Key it cranks strong. but acts like it's not getting gas or spark. She has told me when this happens she gets a jump and the car will start right up. I thought she was nuts until today when I saw it happen for myself. What I did notice is that ever time she turns the Key her headlights come on and she says so does the radio. So it appears like she is not getting enough amps to start the car (I'm thinking the headlights and radio are taking up amps needed to start). Has anyone had a simular problem. I'm thinking of taking it to have the battery and alternator tested but other than that I'm at a lose.
