So, I'm new to the forum, and new to owning a VW (recently purchased a 92 Cabriolet). I have a decent history of automotive repairs as I have always performed all of my own vehicle maintenance before, however, never on a VW. I love my new car, but it does need a little work which is fine because it was intended as a project/hobby. I have always used run-of-the-mill auto parts retailers in the past and I am noticing a certain lack of certain parts for these fine machines at such locales. I'm not necessarily looking for performance parts at the moment, but it's a definate possibility in the near future. Any advice as to where to find quality replacement or performance parts would be appreciated.
