Hello. My girlfriend's 2001 VW Cabrio is having a few problems involving stuttering while driving at speeds over 30 mph. Also, when she turns the vehicle while in motion she hears a slight grinding sound. She has gotten a few opinions from different mechanics, ranging from the transmission to the wheel bearings, fuel pump and exhaust. I'm sure the transmission guess is far out there, but the others are a possibility, I suppose. Does anyone think these diagnoses are feasible? I was also wondering if the CV Joints might have something to do with the grinding...And could the ignition wire cause the stuttering? Any thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
