after a year of trouble with computer system; engine check light goes on all the time and mechanic could only find two consecutive problems; with vacuum leaks. Problem repaired. After several months and no problem, I had oil changed just a couple of days ago and when I started car, engine light came on again. My mechanic turned off, but after a few minutes of driving, engine check light came on again. This has been an on going problem. Does anybody know why and has this happened to you?

You might want to check the surrounding area close to the filter and see if your mechanic accidentaly pulled a vacumn hose or emmision related hose.Did he tell you what the code was before erasing it?
