Default 2001 Cabrio

I recently came in possession of a 2001 Cabrio. I really like it; its super cute and once I fix it up I know it will be the perfect car for me but it has lots of issues that I need help figuring out. The one that bothers me the most is the driver side window is being propped up with a screw driver because it wont stay up on its own. I haven't pressed the button to see if the window motor works because I'm afraid the whole thing might just fall and shatter inside the door. How do I go about fixing the window? If the motor does work do I just need to put the window back on the track?

First posts normally go in introductions else you could get a free fix and we never see you again!!!

Default Welcome to Volkswagen Forum - Rules & Recommendations

You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing and check systems out.
