Default 1995 cabrio starts without having clutch engaged

I have a 1995 cabrio 5-speed. i bought this car for my daughter and have fixed it up to be a pretty nice little car. The last issue that i have is that the car starts without having to engage the clutch. i call the dealership and was giving part number 1H0-927-189-E, which is a green switch. i purchase the part, but when i went to install it there is no green switch on the clutch pedal. I could use some help here. Does anyone know where this switch is located. i really do not want the car to be able to start without the clutch being engaged. Thanks

Don't attach any significance to the fact that you can rev it in neutral but it won't push a load -- this is typical of marine engines. They can run great unloaded then crap out when you ask 'em to do any real work.
