Hey Guys!
I'm looking to buy a beautiful 1987 Cabby convertible.
I've always wanted one, but to be honest I'm not too savvy on VWs.

My main concern is if there are some notable things that go wrong with this year. To my knowledge everything is in basically tip top shape with this cabby. The only thing he mentioned was its about 200k on it already, and needs some seat bolts put in.

Also I'm an avid paddle boarder, and need to be able to mount a board on top of it. Is this possible to do with the convertible down and up?

Let me know what you guys think. It's always been a dream car of mine and he's asking only 1000 for it
