Default tranny help

hey guys, my '65 beetle has been having some weird things going on... the left rear(least we think its left) has been making a clicking sound whenever you drive(reverse forward) or just push it in neutral. i was wondering what could cause this, is there any way for me to check? i was thinking of driveshaft or somthing else of that location.

any help will be thought about

i kinda found out through research it is most likely cv joints, are these hard to fix, or expensive?

Well unless things have been swapped out your 65 won't have cv joints. There's quite a bit that could cause clicking noises, you're going to have to get down and locate where the noise is coming from. Could be anything from a stripped torsion bar or associated part to gears to a wheel bearing. It could even be a driveshaft haning up.

Get someone to help you push the car forward and backward to make the noise and try and figure out where it's coming from.
