New member here. My '98 NB has a non-functioning radio. After I bought it, I had problems with the original radio unit and ultimately had two that went bad and were replaced by the dealer under warranty. Well, these long years later, I needed to replace the battery (being told by friends to insert a 9 volt battery in the cig. lighter) but with the new battery the radio was now in the dreaded 1 hour mode and wants a code. Well, I don't have the code card for this particular (3rd) unit so I am stuck. The dealer said I would have to bring it in and they would hook it up to the factory computers or some such. Is there a work around for this? Thanks for any thoughts on this.
